Paying a Service Provider Directly: What to Agree First
TaskZing takes no commission on jobs, and clients and providers settle payment directly with each other. That keeps things simple, and it means a clear agreement up front matters even more.
What “directly” means
You and the provider agree on the price, the timing and the payment method, and you settle payment between yourselves. TaskZing does not hold, escrow or pay out job money, and it takes no commission on jobs.
What to agree before work starts
Settle these points in writing, in the chat or on a quote.
- The scope of the work and what is not included.
- The total price, or the hourly rate and a cap.
- Whether a deposit is needed, how much, and when it is due.
- The payment method and when the balance is due, for example on completion.
- The start date and the expected finish date.
- What happens to extra work that comes up during the job.
Keep a record
Keep the quote, the messages and any receipts together. If a question comes up later, you both have the same record.
Pay when the work matches the agreement
Check the finished work against what you agreed, then settle the balance as planned. If something is not right, raise it before you pay the final amount so it can be fixed.
Where paid features come in
Creating an account, posting jobs, browsing providers, sending proposals and chatting are free. Pro and Business are optional paid plans for providers, and sponsored placements are optional marketing services. Their prices are shown before you confirm. See the pricing page for the details.
