TaskZing Terms and Conditions
Version 2.0.0 ยท Effective September 27, 2026
1. Who we are and what these Terms cover
TaskZing is operated by ZingTe, based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada ("TaskZing", "we", "us"). These Terms are a binding agreement between you and us. They apply to the TaskZing mobile apps and website (the "Platform"). They should be read with our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Community Guidelines, Content and Data Terms and, if you buy a paid plan, the Subscription and Billing Terms.
TaskZing is a marketplace that connects clients with local service providers. We are not a party to the agreements between clients and providers, we do not perform or supervise the services, and we do not employ providers.
2. Accepting these Terms
By creating an account or using the Platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. We record the version of the Terms you accept and the date. If we make a material change we will ask you to accept the new version.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into binding contracts. This applies to clients and to providers.
- The Platform is intended for people in Canada and the United States.
- You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- One person, one account. Do not create accounts to get around a suspension.
4. Your account
You are responsible for your login details and for everything done under your account. Tell us straight away at customercare@taskzing.com if you think someone else has used it. You can sign in with email, Google or Apple. You can deactivate or delete your account at any time from Settings (see section 15).
5. Payments between clients and providers (no commission)
- TaskZing does not take a commission on jobs.
- Clients and providers agree the price and settle payment directly with each other. TaskZing does not hold, transfer, guarantee or process job payments and does not offer escrow.
- Because we are not part of the payment, we cannot refund or reverse a job payment. Cancellations, refunds and disputes about a job are between the client and the provider, under the terms they agreed and the law that applies to them.
- Providers are responsible for their own taxes, including GST/HST where it applies, and for any licences or insurance their work needs.
- Be careful with payments. Do not pay or ask to be paid in ways that look like a scam. Report anything suspicious.
6. Paid plans and add-ons
TaskZing offers a free plan and optional paid plans and add-ons (for example Pro, Business and marketing campaigns). They are billed by TaskZing through Stripe. The plan limits, prices, renewal and cancellation rules are in the Subscription and Billing Terms and on our pricing page. Prices are shown before you confirm a purchase.
7. Card verification
Providers verify a payment card so that other users can trust the profile. We use Stripe, a PCI DSS compliant processor. Your full card number is never stored on our servers and is not shown to other users. Card data is used only for verification and, if you choose a paid plan, billing for that plan. You can remove a saved card in the app. See our Privacy Policy for how card data is kept and deleted.
8. Providers
Providers must:
- describe their services, prices, qualifications, availability and any licences or insurance truthfully;
- hold the licences, insurance and permits their work needs, and follow the laws for their trade and area;
- act professionally and safely with clients;
- give reasonable notice when they cancel a job, and tell the client straight away in an emergency;
- only post work that is their own or that they have the right to show.
TaskZing does not check every provider or every claim. A verification badge means the provider completed our verification step. It is not a guarantee of quality, licensing or insurance.
9. Clients
Clients must give accurate details about the job (place, time, scope), pay what they agreed directly to the provider, and treat providers respectfully. Reviews must be honest and about a real experience.
10. Your content
- You keep ownership of what you post (photos, videos, reels, stories, job posts, reviews, showcase work, messages).
- You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, distribute and promote your content on the Platform and in our marketing of the Platform, for as long as it stays posted. The licence ends when you remove it or your account is closed, except for copies that are kept for legal reasons or already shared by others, and for backups until they expire.
- You promise that you have the rights to what you post and that it does not break the law or anyone's rights.
- The Content and Data Terms, Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy set out what is and is not allowed, and how we moderate.
11. Acceptable use and safety
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy and Community Guidelines. In short: no harassment, hate, sexual content, violence, illegal activity, scams, fake reviews, spam, or attempts to attack or scrape the Platform. You can report content or a person from inside the app, and you can block a person. We review reports and may hide or remove content or suspend accounts.
12. AI features
Some features (for example the ChatZing assistant, search and recommendations, speech detection) use artificial intelligence, including third-party AI services. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. Check it before you rely on it, and do not treat it as legal, financial, safety or professional advice. What data is sent to AI services is described in the Privacy Policy. Where the law or the app stores require it, we ask for your consent before sending your data to a third-party AI service.
13. Third-party services
The Platform uses services from others (for example Stripe, Google, Apple, map providers and hosting). Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their services. Links to third-party sites are not endorsements.
14. Our rights and intellectual property
TaskZing, the logo and the Platform software and design belong to us or our licensors. You may use the Platform only as these Terms allow. Do not copy, reverse engineer, scrape or resell the Platform. If you think content on the Platform infringes your rights, email customercare@taskzing.com with the details.
15. Suspension, termination and deleting your account
- You can deactivate your account at any time. You can ask to delete it in Settings. Deletion has a 90-day grace period in which you can cancel it. After that we delete or anonymise your data, except what we must keep by law or for safety and fraud prevention.
- We may suspend or end an account, or remove content, if you break these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy or the law, or if you put others at risk. We will tell you why where we can, and you can appeal by emailing customercare@taskzing.com. We do not have to give notice for zero-tolerance categories such as child safety.
16. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will always be available, error free or secure. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality or pricing of any service, or the identity of any user. You are responsible for deciding whether to hire or work with someone, and for meeting people safely.
17. Limits of our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, or for anything that happens between clients and providers, including injuries, damage, non-payment or disputes. Where the law does not allow a limit (for example rights you have under consumer protection laws), that limit does not apply to you. Our total liability to you for anything connected to the Platform is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and CAD $100.
18. Disputes and governing law
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
- Before starting a claim, please contact customercare@taskzing.com so we can try to resolve it. TaskZing offers limited help with disputes between clients and providers but cannot guarantee an outcome.
- Any claim that cannot be resolved will be brought in the courts of the Province of Ontario, except that nothing here limits consumer rights under the laws of the place where you live that cannot be waived.
19. Changes
We may update these Terms. For a material change we will give notice in the app or by email and, where needed, ask you to accept the new version. If you keep using the Platform after a change takes effect, you accept it, unless the law requires your express consent.
20. General
If a part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a right, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a business change. These Terms, with the documents listed in section 1, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Platform. Where a French version exists and the law in Quebec requires it, the French version applies for Quebec residents.
